SOME 100,000 applications have been made to join Bersatu from 25 parliamentary constituencies in Sabah, Beluran MP Ronald Kiandee said.

However, he said there are currently no Bersatu branches in the state.

“We expect many more will join Bersatu when the party officially expands its wings to the state,” he said in Kota Kinabalu today.

Bersatu chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad today announced the entry of the party into Sabah.

Ronald is among the five MPs, nine state assemblymen and two senators from Sabah who left Umno on December 12, last year.

Of the group, only one rep, Tempasuk assemblyman Musbah Jamil, joined Parti Warisan Sabah.

Ronald said he was confident that with Bersatu in Sabah, the people in the state would have real political choices. – Bernama, February 15, 2019.
