PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad met a PAS delegation led by president Abdul Hadi Awang at the Al-Bukhary Foundation in Kuala Lumpur today.

The meeting, which lasted around 45 minutes, began at 9am this morning ahead of the Bersatu supreme council meeting at the same venue.

Hadi was accompanied by PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan and Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, said an officer from the Prime Minister’s Office.

This is the second time the Islamist party leader met Dr Mahathir since the latter became prime minister.

The first meeting took place on June 4 last year at Dr Mahathir’s office at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya.

In the run-up to the meeting last year, PAS was hopeful that the new government will begin paying Terengganu annual oil royalties, which amounted to between RM800 million and RM1 billion per annum.

Today’s visit also comes on the heels of Bersatu’s first by-election contest in Semenyih, which begins tomorrow.

Bersatu will be running against Umno, with PAS promising to back the latter’s candidate by not contesting. – February 15, 2019.

  • What a hypocrite this devil Hadi is!!!!!. By visiting he is hoping to soften the old man outlook on him especially in the investigation report about Umno 90KK to him. The oil royalties will have him on kneees to suck up to the old man. Let's see how far and how low he will go to ridicule himself. An empty man without any bearing in life.
