ECONOMIC Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali has been discharged from a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur after a six-day stay.

It is believed that the PKR deputy president underwent treatment for kidney stones and party sources said this is not the first time he has undergone such surgery.

“Azmin left the hospital yesterday after a visit from the Agong. He has returned home to rest,” said the source who refused to be named.

Yesterday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah visited Azmin after the surgery.

This was disclosed by Azmin’s daughter Farah Amira in a tweet, in which she also attached two pictures of her father and Sultan Abdullah in the ward.

“My family and I were honoured to have the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah visited Abah @AzminAli this evening.

“Indeed, the love and concern showed by His Majesty will be Abah @AzminAli’s strength to regain health and continue to serve the people and the country,” she tweeted.
