PKR will take Pakatan Harapan’s loss in the Cameron Highlands by-election as a reminder to be sensitive towards the people’s concerns about the economy, party president Anwar Ibrahim has said.
“The results are a reminder to the PKR leadership and PH as well that we need to be sensitive to the people’s concerns about the economy and cost of living.
“We also need to strive harder to fulfil our 14th general election manifesto and overcome all problems arising from racial and religious issues with wisdom for the benefit of all,” Anwar said in a statement today.
Anwar said PKR accepted the results of the Cameron Highlands by-election and congratulated Barisan Nasional’s Ramli Mohd Nor for winning the parliamentary constituency.
Ramli yesterday won the seat with 12,038 votes over his main rival from PH, M. Manogaran, who won 8,800 votes in a four-cornered race that included two independents. – January 27, 2019.
