Irish family worried for man missing in KL

AN Irish mother has recently penned a heartfelt plea for Malaysians to help locate her missing son who moved here last November.

The Sun reported that the mother, Mary Morrissey, posted an emotional post on the Missing Persons in Malaysia Facebook group.

“Stephen Warde is missing in Kuala Lumpur. He is 31 years old and from Ireland.

“He has dark brown hair, brown eyes and 5”11.

“We have had no contact since Jan 1, 2019.

“We are extremely worried and concerned for his safety and well-being as this is out of character for Stephen. Please help us find him,” said the worried mother.

According to The Sun, the 31-year-old man arrived in Malaysia last November and the newspaper quoted an unnamed police source as saying that the cops are investigating the matter.

The tabloid added the cops said in a statement that Stephen was last seen near a street popular with tourists on December 28, 2018.

“The Criminal Investigation Section is running an investigation on the loss of a man.

“The last time the victim was in the summer of suites, Sandalwood Road, off Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur on December 28.

“The details of missing people is as follows: Name: Stephen Warde. Age: 32 years. Date into [arrived in] Malaysia: November 15, 2018,” The Sun stated.

When contacted, Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Shaharudin Abdullah confirmed the matter, adding that investigations are under way. – January 23, 2019.
