Lokman Adam arrested for sedition

UMNO Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam has been detained under the Sedition Act for allegedly accusing the government of covering up the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim.

Police sources said Lokman, who is also the Pemantau president, was arrested at the Dang Wangi police district headquarters yesterday.

“He was arrested at IPD Dang Wangi but the investigation is carried out by Bukit Aman CID,” said the source.

Lokman was at the police station in response to being called up for questioning.

He is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Ac, said the source.

Pemantau secretary Lisa Yahaya said in a statement yesterday that Lokman was arrested at 2pm, when he went to the police station to give a statement on a video, in which it was claimed that the government was protecting the killers of Adib, the fireman who died following the November 26-27 riots at the Seafield Maha Mariamman temple in Subang Jaya.

Lisa said Lokman was arrested as soon as he had recorded his statement.

“He accepted the arrest and said he would cooperate in police investigations.

“At 10pm, he was taken to the IPD Dang Wangi to be held overnight,” she said.

She added that several other people were also questioned by the police.

She had said that he was expected to be released today. – January 11, 2019.

  • I felt sorry for this Lokman as he wholly absorbed Jibby's moral value which no value at all thus the thickness of their faces are as thick as the great wall of china, they do what they like, say what they like without thinking in depth so one can throw anything at them as it won't effect them that much except when you hit them at their pockets.

  • Even though this Lokman guy is a lowlife liar racist and a kurang ajar bangsat, and whose aim was to incite hatred and stir-up trouble, he should not be arrested under the Sedition Act. The police is taking the easy way to bring him under control but it is a wrong way.
