THOUSANDS of postcards with photos and basic information on the disappearance of pastor Raymond Koh and three others will be distributed to urge the police to solve their disappearances, said a group.

Citizen Action Group on Enforced Disappearance (Caged) spokesman Thomas Fann said these postcards would be distributed to the public so that people could send it to Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar to urge him to solve the four missing persons cases.

Pastor Raymond Koh, Pastor Joshua Hilmy and wife Ruth, and social activist Amri Che Mat were abducted under mysterious circumstances.

“We are also setting up a donation drive to provide Amri Che Mat’s family RM1,000 a month. We will release more details soon,” Fann said at a candlelight vigil in Dataran Merdeka for the four missing persons.

Police have come under fire for the glacial pace of the investigations. The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) has launched its own probe into the disappearance of the four persons.

“We have also sent a report of Koh’s disappearance to the United Nations, but have yet to receive a reply,” Fann said.

About 50 people attended the vigil, which was held across the street where rehearsals for Thursday’s Merdeka parade were being carried out.

Thursday will also be 200 days since Koh was abducted in broad daylight in Petaling Jaya on February 13.

Koh’s wife, Susanna Liew, said her family have to plough on with life despite the absence of her husband.

“When I contact the police officer in charge of the investigation, he will always say, ‘tak ada perkembangan’ (no developments),” she  said.

“It is just so disappointing.” – August 26, 2017.
