THE Conference of Rulers will now elect among themselves the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong after Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan stepped down from the post yesterday.
According to a rotation list based on seniority, the next sultans in line for the highest post in the country are the rulers of Pahang, Johor or Perak.

The worst thing that could come out of this resignation is the appointment of Johor. Then the nation will be on a slippery slope.

The nation only ask of the three Sultans to see their terms finish as we do not wish to hear the MB of the state of the selected Sultan saying at a later date that "actually the Sultan was keen on becoming the Agong in the first place" of course its a different case all together if the Agong is critically ill that's a different issue speaking of wish it could also be the case in Sultan Muhammad V as the only statement declared was he is seeking "treatment"
