AN explosion at a goldsmith shop rocked Segama, Kota Kinabalu, early today.

Police said the blast, which occurred about 2.45am, ripped open the shop’s shutters and left burn marks in the interior.

“I will call a press conference later and provide further details,” said Kota Kinabalu police chief Habibi Manjiji, urging the public not to panic.

Officers and a K9 unit were at the scene this morning.

It is believed that the explosion is related to a robbery attempt. – December 31, 2018.
