THE people of Sabah would continue to benefit, directly or indirectly, from the profits of the country’s oil and gas resources, said Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Sabah Sdn Bhd CEO Mohd Kamis A. Manap.

“Petronas’ commitment to socio-economic development in the state can be seen in its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in the areas of education, welfare and community development, apart from its continuing environmental conservation efforts,” he said at the “Sentuhan Kasih Petronas” programme in conjunction with Christmas, in Sipitang, yesterday.

Kamis said through the programme, Petronas could extend assistance to and strengthen ties with the local communities.

“Under the programme, we also donate food aid to more than 100 selected families around Sipitang to enable them to prepare for and celebrate Christmas.” – Bernama, December 21, 2018.
