DAP invites RoS to party elections

DAP has invited the Registry of Societies (RoS) to party elections to select its central executive committee (CEC) on September 10.

DAP vice-president Teresa Kok said it is important that RoS sits in at the fresh elections that it ordered.

“The RoS director-general (Muhammad Razin Abdullah) said they will give us a letter, we told them we are eager to cooperate. They said they will let us know soon,” she said.

RoS ordered DAP to hold fresh party elections after finding that its elections on September 29, 2013 was not held in accordance with the law.

A technical glitch had caused irregularities in the vote count during the party polls in December 2012, leading to the elected CEC being declared invalid. DAP held a re-election in September 2013. – August 22, 2017.

  • Better be prepared for the "sandiwara" by ROS. If nobody follow up and they will just slowly let it taper off in attention and suddenly they will insist on the CEC election when it is near to GE14 to create anguish and a spoiler to weaken the party reslove. Keep on insisiting and if no responses issue an ultimatum with legality implication to be make known to them.
