MOHD Isa Abdul Samad will be charged tomorrow over the purchase of a Kuching hotel by Felda Investment Corporation (FIC).
The former Felda chairman arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters in Putrajaya this morning to have his final statement recorded.
Isa, who has been questioned several times by the anti-graft agency, was arrested in August last year and remanded for five days as part of MACC’s probe into FIC’s purchase of hotels in Kuching and London at inflated prices.
FIC reportedly paid RM160 million for the Merdeka Palace Hotel and Suites in Kuching – RM50 million on top of its actual value.
The London deal involves a hotel in Kensington, bought for £60 million (RM317 million). – December 13, 2018.
