THINGS are back to normal at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ Subang Jaya but police will continue to deploy personnel in the area, said Mohamad Fuzi Harun.
The inspector-general of police, however, said the force is not taking things for granted.
“From our assessment, things are back to normal but we cannot take things for granted. We are still monitoring the temple and the situation.
“Especially at the One City Centre. Police are still on the ground to make sure situation is under control,” Fuzi said at a press conference in Central Market this morning.
Fuzi said he will meet his counterparts from the Selangor police contingent this evening for the latest development on the case.
Police might scale down the numbers of officers in the area to avoid wasting manpower, he said.
“I will be meeting Selangor cops this evening and we will discuss on the issue. We are looking at scaling down our operation. Decreasing the numbers of officers there.
“We can’t be dragging it for too long. It is costly and waste of manpower.”
Fuzi added that the number of arrests remains at 106. – December 10, 2018.
