POLICE have yet to get the full report on Cradle Fund CEO Nazrin Hassan’s second post-mortem, said Mohamad Fuzi Harun.

“We have not received the report. We want it as quickly as possible, but the party handling the post-mortem has not sent it to us,” the inspector-general of police told reporters after a monthly meeting with Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin at Bukit Aman today.

Nazrin was found dead after his bedroom at a double-storey terrace house in Mutiara Damansara caught fire on June 14, a day before Hari Raya.

His family had said his handphone had exploded, causing the blaze.

Cradle Fund had said its CEO died from blast injuries attributed to an exploding handphone that was being charged next to the bed.

However, on August 3, Nazrin’s death was classified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code after investigations revealed traces of petrol at the crime scene.

It was reported that he had injuries on the neck, believed to have been caused by an arrow.

Nazrin’s stepsons, aged 14 and 16, were involved in archery at school.

It was also reported that police found the alleged murder weapon in an archery bag at one of the suspects’ home.

Apart from the two boys, Nazrin’s widow, sister-in-law and her husband had been detained by police to assist in investigations.

In October, Nazrin’s remains were exhumed for a second autopsy at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, following a request by his brother, Dr Malek Hassan. – December 4, 2018.
