POLICE have called up Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waytha Moorthy to give his statement over remarks he made after last week’s Seafield Sri Maha Mariaman temple riots.

Inspector General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the minster in charge of unity will be investigated either under the Penal Code or Sedition Act.

Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin also confirmed that police would interview his cabinet colleague for remarks after the temple riot last week.

“He will be investigated either under the Penal Code or Sedition Act,” said Fuzi at a press conference after the monthly meeting with the Home Minister in Bukit Aman today.

It is learnt that Waytha Moorthy will give his statement at Bukit Aman today at 7pm.

On Sunday, Muhyiddin said police are also investigating Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali over remarks the Malay rights leader made at a rally. – December 4, 2018.
