POLICE are tracking down 28 witnesses to facilitate investigations into the riots at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ25, Subang Jaya, last Monday and Tuesday.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd urged all witnesses to come forward and cooperate with police.
He said those with information on witnesses can contact Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat at 019-6000-903, Subang Jaya police headquarters’ CID chief, G. Shan Gopal, at 019-2714-387, or the nearest police station.
“Cooperation from all parties is highly appreciated,” he said in a statement today.
A total of 68 people have been arrested to facilitate police’s probe into the unrest, which stemmed from a land dispute.
Multiple vehicles were set ablaze, and firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim has been hospitalised with serious injuries, purportedly caused by rioters. – Bernama, December 3, 2018.
