PAKATAN Harapan should stop courting unprincipled parties, Perak Amanah chief Asmuni Awi said today, in an apparent reference to allies seeking a tie-up with PAS.

Amanah is a splinter party from PAS, which has opted to go it alone with a few smaller parties in the next general election.

The Islamist party has also been supportive of Umno lately.

“What we should do at this final stage before the next general election is strengthen PH.

The past is gone. Don’t waste time chasing those that have no backbone,” Asmuni said at the state Amanah’s second convention.

His remarks are believed to be directed at some individuals in PKR who are open to forging a pact with PAS.

“We know ‘those’ better than others,” said the former PAS treasurer.

He said it was possible to repeat the opposition’s performance in the 2008 general election, where it defeated Barisan Nasional and formed the state government in Perak.

As long as we are united and trust one another, we can repeat our 2008 performance. We must not have any hidden agendas among us.” – August 20, 2017.

  • As long as PKR is still in command of Selangor, the issues of PAS being thorn will be as ever. There is totally no more integrity as both parties are on low level of politics in deceptive manipulations and self serving which is a typical traits of Najib UmnoBN. PKR is still in their false beliefs that as long as they are king makers in Selangor they could dictate the pace and the directions of PH to outmaneuver with no reference of joint collabration. All to their whims and fancies . Can understand why the old fox did not consult or inform the rest especially PKR as he knows that it will be prempt and create a lost of opportunity in posturing. Suspicions are now that Nothing to Hide 2 intended fracas are not just from the UmnoBN but also within internal PH contribution. Bersatu and Amanah has to concentrate on the main strategic states of Johore, Perak and Selangor to wrest the Malay votes and dilute the evil axis of UMNO/PAS/ and a portion of PKR. The rest of the other states will naturally fall in place.
