You don’t have to teach PM, Xavier tells Ibrahim Ali

PERKASA president Ibrahim Ali should not be teaching Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad whom he should pick as ministers and deputy ministers.

Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister Dr Xavier Jayakumar said Ibrahim’s comment during the Himpunan Jihad Perkasa this afternoon was uncalled for.

“I think Dr Mahathir knows what he is doing. He has the experience and we stand firm behind the decision made by the prime minister,” Xavier said when contacted.

“To say that Indian ministers have gone big headed is totally uncalled for,” he added.

Deputy Rural Development Minister R. Sivarasa branded Ibrahim’s speech as pure nonsense.

The Subang MP told The Malaysian Insight that Dr Mahathir would surely ignore Ibrahim.

“I have no other word for it but to say its ‘pure nonsense’. People who think like that threaten the national unity that the PM is calling for.

“I believe the PM will rightly ignore him,” he said.

Earlier today, Ibrahim urged Dr Mahathir to sack Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waytha Moorthy.

He then said Indian ministers in the cabinet have become big headed.

“Remove Waytha as a minister and examine the Indian representation in the cabinet. There are now four ministers and one deputy. There weren’t so many previously.

“Appoint the Malays in Pakatan Harapan. Many of them are capable. The government has given the Indians too much space and now they are getting big headed.

“This is the way to teach big-headed people, you will see,” Ibrahim told reporters at the Himpunan Jihad Perkasa in Kampung Baru today.

Suaram executive director Sevan Doraisamy said Ibrahim had no right to call for such action to be taken.

Sevan also slammed Ibrahim for making provocative remarks, saying that as a leader, he should try to calm things down.

“As a leader, he should calm things down and not play racial or religious sentiments when things are turning to be okay.

“He should not play up these issues. If he is not satisfied, he should come up with solutions or ideas on how to fix the problem,” he said.  – December 2, 2018.

  • Pakatan, unless and until you throw the full weight of the law on characters like Ib ali, and throw him into the slammer, you will keep getting slammed.

  • PH is being so called fair & diplomatic. Sometimes you need to rule with an iron-hand to manage imbeciles like I ali, papagomo & similar. Let the police be tough on these idiots if the government doesnt plan to be. Unless you practice some level of stern action you will continue to be at the receiving end, and over time our ministers will succumb and become silent eventually, rendering them useless..
