MUHAMMAD Adib Kassim has been transferred to The National Heart Institute (IJN) early this morning, Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said.

“There is a machine there that will help improve his oxygen intake and hopefully this will help his recovery,” she was quoted as saying by The Star.

The 24-year-old fireman was sent to a medical centre in Subang Jaya after being attacked by a mob at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ 25.

She said after consulting specialists from both hospitals, the transfer was given the green-light by Adib’s family.
“After assessing his condition they all agreed he should be transferred and his family consented,” she said.

Adib had suffered broken ribs and injury to his lungs.
The fireman was dragged out of the emergency management response system (EMRS) vehicle by a mob at the temple on Monday.

However, Adib’s colleagues did not realise he was missing until they returned to the station. – November 28, 2018.
