PERAK Bersatu Youth has called on the state Pakatan Harapan leadership to probe into a claim that some excos are conspiring with opposition reps to topple the menteri besar.

The wing’s leader, Mohd Hafez Mubin Mohd Salleh, said it views seriously the allegation.

If the claim proves to be true, he said, action must be taken against the excos concerned.

“The people have given their mandate and trust to PH, and Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has given his consent for Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu to administer the state government.

“All quarters should stop stirring up matters that bring no benefit to the people but only create disputes and rifts… if we are truly responsible and serious about restoring and rebuilding Perak,” he said in a statement today.

It was reported yesterday that state Umno chairman Saarani Mohamad said elections might be held in Perak due to an impending vote of no confidence in the menteri besar.

He said there are plans to pass such a vote, and more than one exco had approached “five to six” Umno assemblymen regarding the matter. – Bernama, November 26, 2018.
