Another Upko rep resigns from party

KUAMUT assemblyman Masiung Banah has resigned from the United Pasok Momogun KadazanDusun Murut Organisation (Upko).

He will now be an independent assemblyman friendly to the Warisan-led government.

“I am also resigning from my position as vice president and Upko Kinabatangan divisional chief.

“It is not easy to work as a team when there are huge differences in the party leadership, “ he said today.

Masiung is the second Upko assemblyman to leave after Sook assemblyman Bobbey Suan.

Masiung said 95% of the Kinabatangan divisional leaders had left the party, including deputy youth chief and the party’s Komulakan movement chief Willy Frous Darinsok.

Masiung said his resignation letter will be submitted to the Upko office first thing Monday. – November 24, 2018.
