PKR’s central election committee has accepted the results of the Julau division elections, said committee chairman Rashid Din.
Rashid said the committee had accepted the explanation from computer technicians handling the e-voting system, in addition to a denial from a US-based software company whose app, Prey, was blamed for wiping out data on devices.
He said the results will be uploaded on the party’s election results portal soon.
The results of Saturday’s polls in Julau have been suspended after police seized several tablets used in the e-voting process that were allegedly hacked.
PKR central election committee systems and IT unit head Alvin Teoh was arrested at Sibu airport yesterday morning before he boarded a flight back to Kuala Lumpur, and was questioned for four hours.
This followed police reports lodged by supporters of deputy president candidate Rafizi Ramli, claiming that Teoh had downloaded the “Prey Anti-Theft” app on some tablets used in Julau.
He has been released on bail.
Rashid said the committee also has accepted the repolling results at the Tawau and Pensiangan divisions.
He said there was a system glitch as some of the tablets used during the ballot was not updated to the latest e-voting software.
He said some of the ballots cast had been mixed with the ballots cast on November 4 and 5, which were subsequently cancelled.
“Although there has been a mix up in the e-voting system, the ballots cast can still be used and have not been corrupted. The system can separate and tabulate the votes, but this will take some time,” he said.
Rashid said the results for both divisions will be uploaded on the party’s election portal shortly. – November 13, 2018.

Talked nonsense. If the data on the six tablets was erased, how can all the data was safe.
Put it this way, there is no data being erased as explained by PREY. Don't bullshit just to save the face of the little boy, Rafizi.
