PKR man urges police to investigate Kadir for allegedly insulting Kedah ruler

SUNGAI Petani MP Johari Abdul urged the police to investigate A. Kadir Jasin under the Sedition Act for allegedly insulting the Sultan of Kedah in a blog post.

PKR lawmaker said he was disappointed with the post by Kadir, who is a Bersatu supreme council member.

“I urge the police to investigate Kadir under the Sedition Act because his writing insinuates that   Sultan Sallehuddin is someone who takes advantage of his position to do business,” he told reporters in Parliament today.

He said Sultan Sallehuddin is a respected ruler and such comments should have not been made.

“Therefore, as the people’s representative, I am disappointed and something should be done.

“This comment has tainted the sultan of Kedah and the monarchy,” he said.

He said he will lodge a police report soon and urges the public in Kedah to do the same.

“I do not stop him to stop writing as a journalist, but there should be ethics,” Johari. – November 1, 2018.
