Up to 40 Umno MPs might join Bersatu

AS many as 40 Members of Parliament from Umno might jump ship and join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), according to A. Kadir Jasin.

The Bersatu supreme council member said the 40 MPs had met party chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad and president Muhyiddin Yassin.

  • At the time of Merdeka in 1957, Umno-BN was known as the Alliance Party, corruption-free & committed to advancing the lot of all Malayans. The 4O MPs joining Bersatu should emulate them..

  • Please don't betray the trust of those who voted for PH during 509. Allowing those from Umno to join you just because you want to have more MP seats might see you being voted out again next election.
