NAZRI Aziz said he has always been a supporter of Anwar Ibrahim and will remain a supporter regardless of whether the latter becomes the next prime minister or not.
The Padang Rengas MP said he had always been friends with Anwar and had supported the newly-elected Port Dickson MP through his “tough” time.
“It’s just that I did not leave Umno but I have always been his supporter.
“Whether (he becomes) prime minister or not, I will always support him,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
Nazri had earlier shown his support for Anwar in the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election on October 13.
Despite not being able to help during the campaign period, Nazri had backed the PKR president-elect.
When asked about a unity government between Umno and PKR, Nazri said “nothing is impossible” in Malaysian politics.
Without elaborating, Nazri said a lot of things which they had never thought would happen, had since taken place.
“The politics in Malaysia is very fluid. It is dynamic and is moving all the time,” added Nazri. – October 22, 2018.
