A SEVENTH body has been pulled out from under the Paya Terubong landslide in Penang.

This is the third body found today after two Bangladeshis were found shortly after noon.

The deceased has been identified as Md Jalil from Bangladesh.

This puts the death toll at seven. Two bodies were found on Friday shortly after the landslide occurred. Another two were recovered yesterday.

It is still unknown how many victims lie beneath the earth, with Penang Fire and Rescue Department chief Commissioner Saadon Moktar saying they may even find victims who are not on their missing persons’ list

This afternoon, one of the Bangladeshis found was not on the list.

The landslide occurred on Friday at a road construction site on Jalan Paya Terubong. The project to build the Paya Terubong pair road is owned by the Penang Island City Council. – October 21, 2018.
