Saiful pledges to beautify PD if he wins by-election

MOHD Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who is running as an independent in the Port Dickson by-election, has pledged to implement an initiative to beautify the coastal town and ensure its economic sustainability, by placing artificial reefs in the sea, if elected.

“If Port Dickson is clean, its beauty will automatically appeal to tourists.

“The artificial reefs, placed in strategic areas, are also bound to boost fishermen’s catch,” he told a press conference to announce the initiative at Dataran Teluk Kemang yesterday.

He said he will discuss with the local fishermen’s association about the suitable locations for the artificial reefs, which could be sponsored by construction companies.

Saiful, who is contesting against his former boss Anwar Ibrahim and five other candidates, later distributed eco-friendly bags to visitors at the Teluk Kemang beach, where he collected litter.
