ACCORDING to the electoral roll, the oldest voter in the Port Dickson constituency is 105 years old, says PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi said he suspected that the centenarian was a phantom voter among the more than 75,200 voters registered in the constituency.

“In my cursory glance of the roll, I also saw voters who were born in 1913.

“This means that the electoral roll may have voters aged between 104 and 105 years old,” he said.

Fahmi said the yet-to-be-cleaned-up roll was giving the party a headache as its members also sought to track down voters living outside the constituency.

“We need a clean electoral roll because all parties contesting in any election needs them to reach voters and the only way for us to identify them are through the roll.”

To overcome the problem, Fahmi said Pakatan Harapan would rely on databases of civil society bodies, such as Invoke, to identify voters in Port Dickson. – October 3, 2018.
