NAJIB Razak was grilled for approximately three hours today in relation to the luxury items seized from several premises linked to him as well as on the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal, a source from the Federal Police Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) said.
“He was also asked about the 1MDB scandal,” the source said.
Najib arrived at the CCID building earlier today about 10am. It was learnt that the former prime minister left the building at 1pm.
He entered the building via a carpark entrance and left using the same route to avoid journalists and photographers.
CCID chief Amar Singh recently told a press conference that Najib would be called in again for further questioning.
Amar also said police had recorded more than 70 statements from individuals related to the 1MDB case.
This is the fourth time that Najib has been called in by the CCID to give his statement over 1MDB, after being summoned on August 30, September 20 and 27.
Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam, who was at the CCID headquarters with about a dozen supporters, said they were there to lend moral support to the Pekan MP. β October 3, 2018.
