No shadow cabinet from BN, says Zahid

Yasmin Ramlan

BARISAN Nasional will not have a shadow cabinet in Parliament but will have dedicated members from the opposition to deal with specific issues, said Ahmad Zahid Hamidi

The opposition leader said each member from Umno and PAS will be given portfolios according to their qualifications.

“This does not mean they are not free to speak on other topics. We have promised to be a constructive opposition and we intend to do this,” he said in Parliament’s lobby.

Zahid was responding to talks that it had formed a shadow cabinet. – August 7, 2018.
