DR Mahathir Mohamad has told former prime minister Najib Razak’s family members to take any grouses they had to court if they felt like the current government was mistreating them.
The prime minister also denied that he was out for revenge against Najib, and told his family to proceed with any legal challenges they had against the government.
“
The 93-year-old said that while he was in the opposition, Najib had taken action against his friends who supported Pakatan Harapan.
“What he did last time, we did not complain (about). All my friends were chased off; they were not allowed to be friends with me. Their accounts were frozen. We did not complain,” Dr Mahathir said.
Najib’s daughter, Nooryana Najwa, yesterday said that both her and her child’s bank accounts had been frozen.
She said on Facebook that her bank had informed her of this soon after she had posted bail for her father.
Meanwhile, Najib’s son, Nazifuddin, yesterday said the country still practised biased prosecution like before, except the individuals were different, but coincidentally, under the same prime minister. – July 6, 2018.
