Jho Low gave cops the slip in Hong Kong, says IGP

BILLIONAIRE financier Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low, gave Malaysian police the slip when they went to meet him in Hong Kong recently, said Inspector-General of Police Fuzi Harun.

Last we know, he was in Macau.

“In fact, the other day, we sent our team to Hong Kong but immediately after we arrived, he left for Macau,” Fuzi said after attending the Home Ministry’s Raya open house in Putrajaya today.

Macau is a popular destination for tourists and is accessible via ferry or helicopter from Hong Kong.

Jho Low had previously offered to meet Malaysian investigators in Dubai.

On June 15, the Immigration Department cancelled Jho Low’s passport.

Its director-general, Mustafar Ali, had said the cancellation was done at the request of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Mohd Shukri Abdull in relation to the probe into beleaguered state investor 1Malaysia Development Bhd. – July 5, 2018.

  • Can we really trust the current IGP? He should've been replaced by now.

  • We turned down a Dubai meeting earlier, so how come Hong Kong then? Were the rules, or modus operandi, changed, to get his much-needed input, without which any 1MDB case in court would then fall short on evidence?..
