FIVE areas in the Klang valley recorded “unhealthy“ air quality as at 11am today, the Department of Environment said.
The Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in these areas showed unhealthy levels – Cheras (153), Kuala Selangor (152), Johan Setia (139), Petaling Jaya (110) and Batu Muda (132).
An API reading of 0 to 50 is considered “good”, 51-100 (moderate), 101-200 (unhealthy), 201-300 (very unhealthy), and 300 and above (hazardous).
The air quality in the rest of the country is reported to be “moderate”. – September 29, 2023.
