PERTIWI Soup Kitchen founder Munirah Abdul Hamid has died at home in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
She was 70.
It was posted on the Pertiwi Facebook page that she died at 4am today.
She will be buried in the Bukit Kiara cemetery after prayers at the Bangsar mosque today.
Munirah was a well-known social worker who started to help the poor and homeless when she was 17.
She was noted for helping women and children.
Pertiwi was founded in 2010 to help feed the poor in Kuala Lumpur. – September 4, 2023.
