AirAsia co-founder Pahamin Rajab dies in-flight en route to London

AIRASIA Bhd co-founder Pahamin Rajab died of a “heart attack” while on a flight to London last night. He was 77.

His son-in-law Azhar Sulaiman shared the news on Instagram this morning  

He said Pahamin, who was the AirAsia chairman and a former Road Transport Department director-general, was on his way to attend his son’s graduation ceremony in London.

“I am saddened to inform you that my father-in-law, Datuk Pahamin Rajab has just passed away,” Azhar said on video.

“He (has) just arrived in London and had a heart attack on the flight. Now my mother-in-law and son, Rees, are in London.”

Pahamin family in Malaysia are expected to leave for London tomorrow. – July 9, 2023.
