THE much-awaited “All Of Those Voices - Louis Tomlinson” will not be screened in Malaysia following the Malaysian Censorship Board’s call for several sections of the documentary film to be cut out.

The film documents the life of British pop singer Louis Tomlinson, from his stint as a member of boy band One Direction to his solo career as an artist.

In a statement today, Golden Screen Cinemas said due to unforeseen circumstances, the film will not be released on March 22 as planned and that ticket holders will receive a full refund.

“We understand that this news may be disappointing for those who were looking forward to attending the event and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“All ticket holders will receive a full refund in 14 working days. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter,” the statement said.

In an earlier statement, the film producers said the Malaysian Censorship Board had asked for some sections of the film to be edited to comply with local classification laws.

“We feel that making these changes would go against the ethics and inclusivity of the film.

“Therefore the film producers and global distributor have made the difficult decision to cancel the theatrical release in Malaysia,” the statement read.

Tomlinson’s former band members Zayn Malik and Harry Styles are also featured in the film directed by Charlie Lightening. – March 17, 2023.
