THE decision on whether to fill the Negri Sembilan human resources, plantation and non-Islamic affairs committee chairman’s post will be known soon.

Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun said he will discuss the matter with state DAP chairman Anthony Loke and then seek an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir before any announcement is made.

“We will discuss this with the state DAP chairman (Loke). There may be someone taking over (the position),” he told reporters after officiating at the state-level Children’s Card launch in Seremban today.

The post was previously held by Nilai assemblyman J. Arul Kumar, who relinquished the position after being appointed a political secretary to Loke, who is also the transport minister, on Friday.

Arul Kumar has been serving as the Nilai assemblyman since May 2013. He was appointed a member of the Negri Sembilan executive council in 2018. – Bernama, January 29, 2023.
