EIGHT people were injured in a crash involving nine vehicles at KM307.9 of the North-South Expressway, near Gopeng late yesterday.
A spokesman for Gopeng Fire and Rescue Station said a team rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at about 11pm, assisted by crews from Tapah Fire and Rescue Station.
“On arrival at the scene, two trailer trucks and seven other vehicles – a Volkswagen, a BMW, a Toyota Yaris, a Perodua Alza, an Aruz, a Honda Civic and a Honda CRV – had crashed into each other.
“Eight people were injured and taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment, while seven others escaped unscathed,” he said in a statement.
The spokesman added that the recovery ended at about 1am. – Bernama, January 10, 2023.
