SARAWAK Premier Abang Johari Openg has contracted Covid-19, according to his office.
In a statement, his office stated that Abang Johari had displayed “mild symptoms” since yesterday and was in mandatory five-day quarantine at home.
The premier thanked everyone “who have shown their concern for my health and safety”.
Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Fatimah Abdullah revealed the premier’s condition at an International Women’s Day gathering in Miri, explaining why he was unable to attend.
She said she was informed at around 9pm last night that he would be absent. – March 8, 2022.
