TAJUDDIN Abdul Rahman has reportedly said he was not bothered by his removal as the Prasarana Malaysia Berhad chairman with immediate effect.
He was reported as telling Malay Mail Online that he has not received the termination letter, which was signed by Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
“Not yet. Want to terminate, terminate then. What is the issue? What is the matter? Want to terminate, terminate lah. Thank you lah. I can do other work,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
Earlier today Tengku Zafrul’s letter to Tajuddin over the termination went viral on social media.
A MoF media spokesman confirmed the letter.
Tajuddin, a senior Umno member, faced strong public criticism over his callous attitude at a press conference yesterday on the LRT train collision that took place on Monday night.
The Pasir Salak MP was appointed as Prasarana chairman in May last year as soon as the Perikatan Nasional government came into power.
Tajuddin was berated by social media users on how he handled the press conference on the LRT crash yesterday.
On Monday, two LRT trains collided on the underground stretch of the line between the KLCC and Kg Baru stations, resulting in minor injuries to 166 passengers while 47 others suffered serious injuries with three currently warded in the intensive care unit due to brain haemorrhage. – May 26, 2021.
