Pakatan's choice of PM candidate runs counter to 'reformasi' aims, says Musa Aman

SABAH Chief Minister Musa Aman is baffled by Pakatan Harapan’s choice of  Dr Mahathir Mohamad as prime ministerial candidate.

Musa, who is Umno liaison chief,  said the coalition’s pick clearly went against PKR’s “Reformasi” objective.

“It is apparent some PKR supporters are still calling for ‘Reformasi’, the very call that Dr Mahathir quashed after putting their leader, Anwar Ibrahim in jail nearly 20 years ago.

“Ironically, the person supposedly closest to Anwar (his wife, PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) has been very forgiving,” he said today.

Musa said the choice of Dr Mahathir and Dr Wan Azizah as prime minister and deputy prime minister, respectively, showed PH lacked foresight.

“What happened to all the grandiose talk about change?”

PH yesterday announced that its chairman Dr Mahathir would be prime minister, and its president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail would be his deputy if the coalition was voted into power. – January 8, 2018.

  • Historically, political party that it's ex top leader turn against, that party does lose eventually. Mahathir may not win but UMNO is doomed.
