ONLY three new Covid-19 clusters were reported in the last 24 hours, two of which were at workplaces and one involving a community transmission.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the three clusters are located in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak and combined, have a total of 45 cases.
In the past 24 hours, 43 clusters also reported an increase in cases.
Those with the highest number of new cases today are Pagar Bukit Chagar (60 cases), Teknologi Bukit Minyak (58), and Batu 22 (46).
The low number of new clusters comes with today’s fresh cases at 941, below the 1,000 mark for the first time since December 9 last year.
The three new clusters reported today are:
1. Seksyen 16, a workplace cluster spread over Hulu Langat and Sepang in Selangor, which began with an education centre at Bandar Baru Bangi. This cluster has 18 infections.
2. Jalan Azlan, a workplace cluster in Kepong and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur involving a public office at Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, which has nine infections.
3. Taman Vistagro, a community cluster in Sri Aman, Sabah, where the index case tested positive after individual screening. There are now 18 people infected in this cluster. – March 29, 2021.
