THE Health Ministry has not receive any reports on queue-jumping for Covid-19 vaccination, said Minister Dr Adham Baba.

“There weren’t any (reports). The queue-jumping is just a rumour,” he said in a joint press conference with Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan today.

Takiyuddin, on the other hand, said the queue-jumping was only highlighted in media reports.

Complaints were making the rounds on social media of politicians, their family members and aides cutting the queue to get vaccinated.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said on February 28 that health workers who know of non-elected “VVIPs” cutting the front-liners’ queue for Covid-19 vaccination can email him directly.

The coordinating minister for Malaysia’s Covid-19 immunisation said he took allegations about queue-jumping seriously and had informed director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah about it.

“Whistleblowers can send emails anonymously to me at [email protected] and I will investigate,” he said on Twitter. – March 3, 2021.
