Najib's multi-cultural Cabinet is the best, says minister

Prime Minister Najib Razak is wise to have formed a Cabinet with members from different cultural backgrounds, said a Sabahan minister, as opposed to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's call to have a Muslim-only Cabinet. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 27, 2017.

PRIME Minister Najib Razak had used his discretion to appoint Cabinet ministers wisely by including six Sabahans, a United Pasok Momogun KadazanDusun Murut organisation leader said.

The organisation’s acting president Wilfred Madius Tangau said this in response to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang’s call for a Muslim-only Cabinet.

Tangau, who is Tuaran MP, said this shows that Umno and PAS are still divided by politics even though they champion the same faith.

“Although, PAS and Umno has a lot of similarities in terms of Islam and aqidah, they are still divided in terms of politics,” he said.

The six federal ministers from Sabah are Tangau himself, Salleh Said Keruak, Maximus Ongkili, Anifah Aman, Joseph Kurup and Abdul Rahman Dahlan, with three of them being Christians. – December 27, 2017.

  • Multicultural idiots and self-serving traitors is more like it. Regardless, Sabahan and Sarawakians will end up the Malaysian Palestinian sooner or later when PAS join with UMNO.
