NONE of the Perikatan Nasional members of parliament have jumped ship, according to Shahidan Kassim.
The PN parliamentary council chairman said Anwar Ibrahim’s statement that the government has collapsed was baseless and illogical.
Shahidan said if the opposition leader had the numbers then he would have to disclose it because none of the PN MPs had left the coalition.
“I want to ask him who has jumped? There are 50 MPs in the council and not one person had jumped.
“There are 23 Umno MPs, GPS has 10, PAS has 10, and there are seven from Bersatu in the council. No one jumped. This is illogical,” he told The Malaysian Insight.
Anwar said today he has received strong and convincing support from MPs to form a new government.
Speaking at a press conference here today, Anwar said he was supposed to face the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah yesterday, but that meeting was postponed because the King is currently receiving treatment at the Institut Jantung Negara. – September 23, 2020.
