KUALA Lumpur’s Jalan Raja Bot and two housing estates in Selayang, Selangor, have been put on heightened “administrative control”  and not an enhanced movement control order (EMCO), said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“Not yet. As long as I have not announced it, then there is no EMCO.

“But administrative control has been tightened at certain areas,” he said at his daily press conference today.

The defence minister said even though razor wire barriers were erected in the area, no EMCO has been enforced.

He said residents in the area will be swabbed and movement in the area will be controlled.

It was reported earlier that soldiers were seen late last night putting up razor wire barricades in those areas, fuelling fears of enhanced movement curbs in the areas. – May 5, 2020.
