23 test positive in Covid-19 screening at Kg Baru flats

TWENTY-THREE Covid-19 cases have been detected in a mass screening at a PKNS housing block in Kg Baru, Kuala Lumpur, said Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The screening was conducted following a coronavirus death among the residents there.

“So, far it is 23 positive and one mortality from the Kg Baru group,” Dr Noor Hisham told a press conference in Putrajaya today.

The death was reported yesterday.

The mass screening is ongoing, carried out by district health officials.

“One death occurred yesterday linked to the PKNS flats. Therefore, we are carrying out active case detection in the vicinity,” added Dr Noor Hisham. – April 13, 2020.
