UMNO Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam and former PKR lawmaker N. Gobalakrishnan were released at 7am this morning following their arrests yesterday in connection with the viral sex video of Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdul Aziz and, allegedly, Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.

“They were released on police bail at 7am this morning after initial investigations were completed,” said Selangor Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Fadzil Ahmad in a statement.

Lokman and former Padang Serai MP Gobalakrishnan were arrested at Lokman’s home in Kajang at 7pm yesterday for investigations into the sex video of two men which went viral on Tuesday.

According to police, the men were arrested after they shouted and hurled abuse at police officers who came to Lokman’s home wanting to check his phone.

The incident followed Lokman lodging a police report earlier in the day over the sex video, which has implicated Azmin and Haziq.

In his report, Lokman claims he also asked for investigations into alleged corruption involving Azmin.

Fadzil in his statement today said Lokman and Gobalakrishnan were arrested for obstructing police officers in carrying out their duties and for using vulgar language.

Haziq has admitted to being in the sex video, and named Azmin as his partner.

Azmin, who is PKR deputy president, has denied this, calling the video a nefarious plot to destroy his political career. – June 14, 2019.
