PAKATAN Harapan today rubbished the allegation that it is planning to buy the identity cards of 2,000 Orang Asli voters to prevent them from voting at the Cameron Highlands by-election next week.

The coalition’s assistant head at the Jelai operations centre, Arvind Bharet, said the allegation by Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Adam was slanderous, defamatory, and aimed at tarnishing PH’s image in the by-election.

“PH does not condone such acts as we firmly believe that voting is a right every citizen of a democratic country has, and that right should not be violated in any way,” Arvind said.

Yesterday, Lokman said the “buying” of ICs was a tactic deployed by PH to win the by-election.

He claimed these tactics were being used as PH felt threatened by BN’s Orang Asli candidate Ramli Mohd Noor. – Janaury 20, 2019.
