POLICE admit they do not know the whereabouts of K. Pathmanathan @ Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, the ex-husband of Hindu mother Indira Gandhi, and their daughter whom he abducted nine years ago.

Criminal Investigation Department director Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said despite media statements and calls for the public to assist in tracking down Riduan, authorities are no closer to finding him.

Wan Ahmad said police have been searching for Riduan since a warrant for his arrest was issued by the High Court in Ipoh on May 20, 2014.

“At the same time, police have also informed the lawyer representing M. Indira Gandhi about all the steps taken by police to detect the named individual and her child,” he said in a statement today.

Wan Ahmad urged the public to come forward with any information they might have about Riduan to resolve the case.

In November, Indira made an open plea to the Inspector-General of Police to be kept abreast of developments in the hunt for her ex-husband and youngest child, Prasana Diksa, whom she last saw when the girl was 11 months old.

The mother of three had challenged the unilateral conversion of her children to Islam by their father after he switched religions.

In January last year, the Federal Court ruled to nullify all three children’s conversion to Islam. – January 18, 2019.

  • If the lawyer for Indira, whom I believe was Kulasegaran before he became a minister, has been kept updated why is it that Indira and her lawyer kept on asking the police on the actions that the police has taken? So whos lying?
